چکیده
(UNU). It is based in Macao, and was founded in 1991. It started operations in July 1992. UNU-IIST is jointly funded by the government of Macao and the governments of the People's Republic of China and Portugal through a contribution to the UNU Endowment Fund. As well as providing two-thirds of the endowment fund, the Macao authorities also supply UNU-IIST with its office premises and furniture and subsidise fellow accommodation. The mission of UNU-IIST is to assist developing countries in the application and development of software technology. UNU-IIST contributes through its programmatic activities: 1. Advanced development projects, in which software techniques supported by tools are applied, 2. Research projects, in which new techniques for software development are investigated, 3. Curriculum development projects, in which courses of software technology for universities in developing countries are developed, 4. University development projects, which complement the curriculum development projects by aiming to strengthen all aspects of computer science teaching in universities in developing countries, 5. Schools and Courses, which typically teach advanced software development techniques, 6. Events, in which conferences and workshops are organised or supported by UNU-IIST, and 7. Dissemination, in which UNU-IIST regularly distributes to developing countries information on international progress of software technology. Fellows, who are young scientists and engineers from developing countries, are invited to actively participate in all these projects. By doing the projects they are trained. At present, the technical focus of UNU-IIST is on formal methods for software development. UNU-IIST is an internationally recognised center in the area of formal methods. However, no software technique is universally applicable. We are prepared to choose complementary techniques for our projects, if necessary.

This issue includes extended versions of selected best papers from the 7th International Workshop on Formal Aspects of Component Software (FACS 2010) held in Guimarães, Portugal on October 14–16, 2010. The component-based software development approach has emerged as a promising paradigm to cope with an ever increasing complexity of present-day software solutions by bringing sound production and...
متن کاملVULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT OF WATER DISTRIBUTION NETWORKS: GRAPH THEORY METHOD
The main functional purpose of a water distribution network is to transport water from a source to several domestic and industrial units while at the same time satisfying various requirements on hydraulic response. All the water distribution networks perform two basic operations: firstly the water network needs to deliver adequate amounts of water to meet specific requirements, and secondly the...
متن کاملGraph Representation of Sessions and Pipelines for Structured Service Programming
Graph transformation techniques, and the Double-Pushout approach in particular, have been particularly successful in the modeling of concurrent systems. In this area, a research thread has addressed the definition of concurrent semantics for process calculi. In this paper, we show how graph transformation can cope with advanced features of service-oriented process calculi, such as several logic...
متن کاملA multi-period fuzzy mathematical programming model for crude oil supply chain network design considering budget and equipment limitations
The major oil industry upstream activities include the exploration, drilling, extraction, pipelines installation, and production of crude oil. In this paper, we develop a mathematical model to plan for theseoperations as a crude oil supply chain network design problem. The proposed multi-period mixed integer linear programming model entails both strategic (e.g., facility location and allocation)...
متن کاملSmart load shedding and distributed generation resources rescheduling to improve distribution system restoration performance
After a permanent fault occurs if it is not possible to supply the load in the network, the optimal load restoration scheme allows the system to restoration the load with the lowest exit cost, the lowest load interruption, and in the shortest possible time. This article introduces a new design called Smart Load Shedding, abbreviated SLS. In the proposed SLS scheme, the types of devices in smart...
